The Seattle Seahawks avoided the trip to London up until the 2018 season, when they were the road team against the Oakland Raiders back in October, winning 27-3 in front of a pro-Seahawks crowd at Wembley Stadium. What we do know is that the 2019 International Series is not going to involve the Seahawks leaving the United States.
The NFL announced on Monday that the following games will be played, with dates and venues to be determined for the four London matches.
Mexico City: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers
London: Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
London: Chicago Bears vs. Oakland Raiders
London: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Rams
London: Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Chargers, Bucs, Raiders, Rams, and Jaguars are the designated home teams, so really the only way the Seahawks would’ve been placed in London again is if they’d faced the Rams.
Two London games are set to be at Wembley Stadium, while the other two will be at Tottenham Hotspurs’ new stadium. We’ll see if Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca will actually be playable this year after terrible field conditions moved the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Rams matchups back to Los Angeles at the last minute.
