After taking Week 17 off, FanPulse is back! I suppose the first thing to look at is our confidence levels after wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals. They shot up from 72% to 90% after Kansas City, then a further two percent to round out the regular season. This means that end-of-regular season confidence finished higher than prior to Week 1, when it was at 89%. The team’s low point was 24%, which came after beating Arizona but losing Earl Thomas.
Let’s get to the playoffs now. All 32 SB Nation NFL sites were asked for their playoff predictions for this weekend’s wild card round. We’ll get to the other games in a moment, but the picks are one-sided in favor of Seattle.
Seattle isn’t the only road team getting favored in FanPulse. The same applies for the Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers, while the most lopsided pick is the Chicago Bears to defend home turf against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Now lets get to some regular season awards. The real ones will be handed out on the eve of Super Bowl 53, but the SBN NFL FanPulse community has got Matt Nagy (Chicago Bears) as Coach of the Year, Saquon Barkley (RB, New York Giants) as Rookie of the Year, Patrick Mahomes (QB, Kansas City Chiefs) at MVP, and Aaron Donald (DT, Los Angeles Rams) as Defensive Player of the Year.
Russell Wilson finished 5th in MVP voting while Wagner was a distant 3rd in the DPOY poll.
