The historically efficient relationship between Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve posted his work here before and I imagine we will again. Brett Kollmann, writer for SB Nation’s Houston Texans blog Battle Red Blog, and one of the best breaker-downer of films in the business, has set his sights on the Seattle Seahawks again, thankfully. This time he’s looking at the deep ball connection between Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett, which I am sure will be a subject of great conversation among coaches and general managers around the NFL this offseason as teams search for their own ways to have a combo that has a perfect 158.3 passer rating between them.

Watch the video to hear Kollmann break down the reasons for the success between this duo and why Lockett might not even know where he’s going until seconds after the ball has already been snapped. Wilson to Lockett in 2018 was nearly perfect, which is even more impressive when you consider that much of it was ... improv.
