The Seattle Seahawks (4-1) are back on the road for their second 10 AM game of the season, as they take on a desperate Cleveland Browns (2-3) squad that is arguably in must-win mode.
Seattle is coming off an emotional, thrilling 30-29 win over the Los Angeles Rams last Thursday. While the Seahawks opened Week 5 with a primetime thriller, the Browns ended Week 5 on a dud, losing 31-3 at the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. Russell Wilson looked like an MVP, Baker Mayfield looked like someone in a sophomore slump.
Of course, the slate is largely wiped clean when it’s a week-to-week league. Cleveland is at home and wanting to avoid an 0-3 record in their own stadium. They have a great receiving duo of Odell Beckham Jr and Jarvis Landry, a dangerous RB in Nick Chubb, and a beast of a pass rusher in Myles Garrett. The Seahawks offense is high-flying at the moment, but they’ll be down (in all likelihood) Duane Brown and D.J. Fluker. This will be a makeshift OL protecting Wilson and opening up rushing lanes for Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny. The much-maligned defense really needs to take advantage of Baker’s tendency to turn the ball over, and it’ll be a tall task defending all of those weapons.
