In Week 6 the Seattle Seahawks moved to 5-1 by defeating the Cleveland Browns in yet another one-score thriller that kept with the team’s habit of giving fans a cardiac workout during the game. On the offensive line Duane Brown and D.J. Fluker were out with injuries, meaning George Fant and Jamarco Jones got their first starts of the season at left tackle and right guard, respectively. So, how does the line stack up now?

For those who don’t use a 55” television as their monitor in order to make those grades large enough to actually read, they are:
- George Fant: Overall: 38.6, Pass Blocking: 14.9, Run Blocking: 58.1
- Mike Iupati: Overall: 79.3, Pass Blocking: 63.1, Run Blocking: 80.1
- Justin Britt: Overall: 65.1, Pass Blocking: 51.8, Run Blocking: 67.4
- Jamarco Jones: Overall: 53.5, Pass Blocking: 84.0, Run Blocking: 42.3
- Germain Ifedi: Overall: 53.3, Pass Blocking: 60.2, Run Blocking: 60.9
- Joey Hunt: Overall: 46.8, Pass Blocking: 40.7, Run Blocking: 52.0
For those wondering where the team would turn regarding the sixth offensive lineman with Fant starting, just as they did in Weeks 16 and 17 of 2018, they called on Hunt, whose grades from PFF lined up with what former Field Gulls contributor Matty Brown saw.
Joey Hunt in as an extra tight end, getting his ass absolutely kicked.

As always, the refresher for those grades is right here.
The Player Grading Scale:
— PFF (@PFF) October 9, 2015
100-90 Elite
89-85 Pro Bowler
84-70 Starter
69-60 Backup
59-0 Replaceable
For those who ask the question about how so many Seahawks players can be below starter level, I’ll get to that answer on Thursday or Friday.
In any case, while the team came away victorious in Week 6, the line once again had issues that it had to overcome. Week 7 brings the Baltimore Ravens to town, and a second start for Jamarco Jones could prove interesting as it would give us some insight on how well he is able to handle larger defensive tackles. He’s performed well against the Los Angeles Rams and the Browns the last two weeks, but the Ravens sport a part of tackles in Brandon Williams and Michael Pierce who weigh 40 to 50 pounds more than Jones. It could certainly make for some interesting watching on Sunday afternoon.
