Seahawks-Falcons injury report: Duane Brown, Germain Ifedi both questionable

New, comments
NFL: Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The injury report is out for the Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons, and the concern is the health of both starting tackles.

Left tackle Duane Brown and right tackle Germain Ifedi are both listed as questionable for Sunday. Brown has missed two games with a biceps injury, while Ifedi is new to the injury report with a knee problem. If you want optimism, Pete Carroll says Ifedi’s injury is nothing “overly serious,” although both men will be game-time decisions. Jamarco Jones may be pressed into starting duties at one of the tackle positions, with George Fant slotted in for another start if Brown can’t go.

Confirmed to be out for the Seahawks are safety Lano Hill (elbow) and defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson (oblique). Based on Pete Carroll’s presser, it doesn’t sound like new safety Quandre Diggs (hamstring) is quite ready to make his Seattle debut, but he is also questionable.

Other notable game-time decisions are safety Bradley McDougald (back) and defensive end Ziggy Ansah (ankle). There’s not been much to suggest that Tre Flowers (neck) will miss Sunday’s game, but just keep an eye out on that front.

For the Atlanta Falcons, quarterback Matt Ryan is a game-time decision with his high-ankle sprain. If he can’t play, Matt Schaub gets a starting job in the year 2019. Veteran CB Desmond Trufant is out with injury again, so Atlanta’s awful and depleted secondary doesn’t get any reinforcements.
