The Seattle Seahawks offensive line is already without backup center/guard Ethan Pocic, and now they’re unlikely to have starting right guard D.J. Fluker for the rest of Thurday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Fluker is doubtful to return with a left hamstring injury he suffered early in the opening quarter. He limped off the field after Seattle was forced into a punting situation, and he went straight into the medical tent.
He has since been replaced by second-year player Jamarco Jones, who is normally a tackle but is the backup guard on this occasion. Jones has already committed a false start penalty, and is going to be tasked on some snaps with having to block Aaron Donald. That’s not really what anyone wants to see, so hopefully they agree to give him some help.
Last year, Fluker missed time with a hamstring injury he suffered against the San Francisco 49ers, and now he’s got something similar happening tonight.
