Run Game Review: Admiring Chris Carson running over Rams

With the resurgence of the Seattle Seahawks run game in 2018, two of the team’s most prolific performances on the ground came at the expense of the Los Angeles Rams defense. Last Thursday the Hawks got Week 5 of the NFL season started with their biggest rushing game of the young season to date, registering 167 yards against the Rams.

Of those 167 yards on the ground for the Hawks, 118 of those came from third year running back Chris Carson, whose 27 carries against Los Angeles came just four days after carrying the ball 22 times against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4. Over the course of the five days, Carson tallied 49 carries for 222 yards, while the Seahawks won consecutive games against division foes in the same season for the first time since Weeks 10 and 12 of the 2017 season. In doing so, the Hawks moved into second place, and head east to take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 6.

In any case, let’s get to the video of Carson bruising and battering the poor Rams defenders, who can mostly only close their eyes and brace themselves for impact against the Seahawks action green Ram smasher.
