Enemy Reaction 2019: San Francisco 49ers (Part 1)

I don’t usually whip out two-part Enemy Reactions for the Seattle Seahawks unless there’s a lot of action. I’ve now had to do it twice this month, because the Seahawks have gone to overtime twice this month, and they won both of them! And could it get much better than beating Bruce Arians and then the previously unbeaten San Francisco 49ers in consecutive weeks?

Part one focuses on the 1st-3rd quarters, setting us up for the dramatic finale. Due to an SB Nation outage, I replaced game thread comments for Jadeveon Clowney’s touchdown with Twitter comments. You don’t need me to tell you who supplied the game thread comments for the 49ers.

Sit back and enjoy!

Jamar Taylor penalty negates Shaquill Griffin interception (0-0)

Joey Hunt gets trucked (3-0 SF)

Kendrick Bourne beats Jamar Taylor for a touchdown (10-0 SF)

Jadeveon Clowney scoops and scores after Jarran Reed sacks Jimmy Garoppolo (10-7 SF)

DK Metcalf gets stripped by Jaquiski Tartt near the goal line (10-7 SF)

Rashaad Penny fumbles, 49ers recover (10-7 SF)

Quandre Diggs picks off Jimmy G! (10-7 SF)

Russell Wilson finds Jacob Hollister for a tremendous touchdown (14-10 SEA)

Clowney strips Jimmy G, Poona Ford recovers (14-10 SEA)

Chris Carson punches it in from a yard out (21-10 SEA)

The Seahawks should’ve been able to drain a lot of clock and have a stress-free 4th quarter. That’s now how the 2019 team rolls. Check back Thursday morning for the exciting conclusion!

Thanks for reading and go ‘Hawks!
