The Seattle Seahawks have had horrible injury luck at the tight end position this year, and that continues with the surprise return to IR for Ed Dickson.
Literally the same week after Dickson was activated off of injured reserve and placed on the 53-man roster, Dickson’s apparent struggles recovering from his knee injury have resulted in the team sending him back to IR for good, as he will go the whole of 2019 without playing a game.
In the meantime, the Seahawks unsurprisingly promoted TE Tyrone Swoopes to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. A former quarterback at Texas, Swoopes has been off and on the Seahawks roster since 2017, with his lone NFL catch going for 23 yards against the Oakland Raiders last season. Alongside Jacob Hollister, who was bumped up from the PS after Will Dissly’s season-ending injury, those are your only two healthy TEs available this Sunday.
...Well, technically speaking.
We simply do not know what will take for George Fant to get the damn football in his hands again.
...It works in Madden, too!
