Pete Carroll is 5-0 against the Minnesota Vikings since coming to the Seattle Seahawks in 2010 and he’s looking to make it 6-0 this Monday night at home. That won’t be easy, as the 8-3 Vikings are nearly locked into a wild card berth and still fighting for the NFC North crown.
Often living strictly off their defense, Minnesota’s had a surprising path to victories this season, that being the surprise darkhorse MVP campaign of quarterback Kirk Cousins. Drafted one round after Russell Wilson in 2012, Cousins has found a groove unlike any other in his career, tossing 21 touchdowns against only three interceptions. On top of that, the Vikings have Dalvin Cook, arguably the best running back in the NFL, and the defense still ain’t no slouch, ranking sixth in points allowed.
The Seahawks come in at 9-2, with Wilson mounting his own MVP campaign and the defense picking it up as the season goes along. Who will keep pace in their division races and who leaves Monday with a bitter taste in their mouths? Find out as Seattle plays their second Monday Night Football game in the last month, last beating the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.
Here’s how to watch.
