Seahawks move into first place following win over Vikings

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

With four games to go, the Seattle Seahawks are in first place in the NFC West and second in the conference. This is the first time they’ve been alone in first place since the end of 2016.

With a win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, the Seahawks are now 10-2.

The Seahawks are next set to travel to the LA Rams for Sunday Night Football. A win by Seattle secures that they will finish ahead of the Rams in the standings and should secure them a wild card berth. They then play the Panthers in Carolina before finishing off the season with home games against the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.

It is the 49ers that the Seahawks passed in the standings on Monday night and at this point another win vs San Francisco should seal the division title.

1 Seahawks, 10-2

2 49ers, 10-2

3 Rams, 7-5
