On Sunday the Seattle Seahawks had a rough day. Not only did they lose a game that was very important to the team in order to get their hands on one of the top two seeds in the NFC Playoffs, they also suffered multiple injuries at the running back position. Chris Carson is believed done for the year with a hip injury, and a broken arm will keep C.J. Prosise out through the remainder of his rookie contract with the Hawks.
Some fans had joked that the team could turn to former Seahawk Marshawn Lynch in order to address their running back needs. Well, look what Ian Rapoport is reporting this morning about that possibility.
Marshawn Lynch and the #Seahawks are open to a reunion, and Lynch has told people he plans to travel to Seattle today to discuss it, sources tell me, @MikeGarafolo and @TomPelissero. #BeastMode could be back in Seattle.

With the regular season set to end in a week and the Hawks with $3.8M in available salary cap space per the NFLPA public report, the team can easily afford a single game’s worth of services for Marshawn. Thus, the two important questions appear to be whether they can come to an agreement on a contract quickly, and whether Marshawn is in game shape.
