As another way to reach out to readers and in a way that feels totally unique to what I normally do on Field Gulls, I wanted to start a newsletter. Just a little Seahawks related memo that hits your inbox in the morning. The content could be anything, which is the point. It’s probably going to be short, since brevity is a muscle I know I should be working on. It will definitely be an opportunity that I use to try things out in a post that goes directly to you rather than something that may make sense or fit as a singular post on Field Gulls.
Similar to the weekly podcast I put out, Seaside Chats, I’ve decided to call this newsletter: Seaside Joe. Like the coffee term.
It may only be a few sentences long some morning. It may be a stream of consciousness about a particular stat. A drawing. A quote. A guest post by one of the Field Gulls writers or a friend of the site or a reader of the site. It could be anything, which is why I want to try it out. To use this offseason to try out anything.
If you’re interested in being a Seaside Joe subscriber, here’s the link to sign up
If at any point you don’t like what you’re seeing, the law even requires there to be an unsubscribe button! And it will be that easy to never get Seaside Joe again. The first letter will go out soon this week.
