Earl Thomas gives shoutout to Russell Wilson

I guess we can confirm even further that the middle finger wasn’t meant for Russell Wilson.

Former Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas, who has already expressed an interest to retire as a Seahawk one day and join the Ring of Honor, saw the same news as the rest of us on Tuesday morning: Russell Wilson is at least $107 million richer. With $65 million of it coming ASAP in the form of a signing bonus.

Thomas took to Twitter like the rest of us and was not at all shy about congratulating his former quarterback teammate on the record contract.

“Congrats (Russ) Shoot my shot swish....Mr Clutch !!! (100 emoji, dollar sign money bag emoji (x6) #NewMoney”

Thomas expressed animosity over the Seahawks not giving him the contract extension he wanted but he clearly has no bitterness over a former teammate getting special treatment that he did not. Thomas still got paid, signing a $55 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

Current Seattle linebacker Bobby Wagner is still waiting and wondering about his own extension, and he’s seeing today as a “well deserved” moment for Wilson.
