The halfway point between the Super Bowl and the kickoff to the 2019 NFL season has passed, and the Seattle Seahawks are firmly in the middle of OTAs. In meeting with the media after the second day of OTAs on Tuesday, head coach Pete Carroll noted that several key members of the team are not on the field at the moment due to offseason surgeries from which they are still rehabbing.
The list of such players includes
- Defensive tackle Jarran Reed who had sports hernia surgery,
- Safety Bradley McDougald who had knee surgery,
- Safety Delano Hill who had hip surgery and
- Running back Chris Carson who had knee surgery.
Don’t let that get you down, though, because the team also posted a highlight video from practice for the second straight day, giving fans a glimpse of those players who are healthy and participating.
Some notable Seahawks who make appearances in the video include Russell Wilson, Shaquem Griffin, C.J. Prosise, Rashaad Penny, Shaquill Griffin, Neiko Thorpe, Jacob Martin, Mychal Kendricks, Jason Myers and Michael Dickson just to name a few. So, while training camp likely doesn’t start until nine weeks from today, go ahead and allow yourself to get a little excited regarding the Hawks and the upside potential of the young roster.
