Long time Field Gulls readers may recall former contributor Sean Clement, who authored the Kicker Considerations series during his time with the site. In particular he covered the Blair Walsh Project during the 2017 season before carving out a niche with his Michael Dickson inspired puntalytics during 2018.
Well, Sean's gone big time now.

For those who are unaware of his background, Sean did his undergrad work at West Point and completed his Masters of Science in Computational Mathematics at Stanford in 2018. He has now leveraged his football knowledge, education and experience into an analytical position with the Baltimore Ravens.

Even after leaving Field Gulls, Sean continued to do great work on the kicking game, as well as working on analytics in other sectors of the game. Specifically, his fanpost this spring on the predictability of the offense of the Seattle Seahawks in relation to situational specifics drew a strong reaction from fans. So, while the Hawks lost All World free safety Earl Thomas to the Ravens in free agency this spring, Clement has now followed him to Baltimore.
Best wishes and good luck in the new role to Sean!
There's only one thing left to say at this point: Go Navy! Beat Army!
