We are less than a month away from the release of Madden NFL 20, which means player ratings are trickling out for the latest edition of the popular video game franchise.
This year, only four players have the honor of having a perfect “Madden” overall rating of 99. Why is it not 100? I neither remember nor feel the need to know the correct answer. I’ve decided it’s a touching homage to that hit Toto song, “99.”
Anyway, the first player confirmed was unsurprisingly Los Angeles Rams one-man wrecking machine Aaron Donald, but following suit is none other than Seattle Seahawks superstar linebacker Bobby Wagner.
The best MLB in the NFL, @BWagz is the 2nd member of the #99Club!

Wagner has the best tackle, pursuit, and hit power rating in the game. He also has a superstar X-factor ability, which EA Sports describes as follows:
“Wagner is also a Superstar X-Factor player, with a zone ability called Shutdown. Shutdown defenders have the talent to erase receivers from the game. When Wagner enters the zone, his coverage is tighter, and interceptions are more frequent on contested catches. Wagner can literally do it all on the defensive side of the ball.”
The 29-year-old, who’s entering the final year of his current contract, is a four-time First-Team All-Pro selection and is (finally) the consensus best middle linebacker in the NFL. With the dissolving of the Legion of Boom, he’s clearly the #1 guy on the Seahawks defense. What does he have to say about joining the perfect rating club? Well it’s pretty damn funny, if you ask me.
Childhood Dream.. now I don’t have to edit it to 99 ha

We’ll know the other two members of the 99 Club by the end of this week, but obviously one of those spots belongs to Michael Dickson.
