The Seattle Seahawks made a move on their day off on Wednesday, releasing wide receiver Daniel Williams after a week on the roster. Ahead of practice resuming on Thursday, they’ve now made the corresponding move, signing UDFA WR Nyqwan Murray to the roster.
Murray, who went undrafted this year, participated in Seattle’s rookie minicamp in the spring, but was not signed following it. During four seasons at Florida State, Murray posted 127 catches for 1854 yards and 12 touchdowns, while starting the final two seasons.
After the release of Caleb Scott and Williams, the Seahawks’ receiver group now sits at 12: Tyler Lockett, D.K. Metcalf, Jaron Brown, David Moore, Keenan Reynolds, John Ursua, Gary Jennings, Malik Turner, Jazz Ferguson, Terry Wright, Amara Darboh and Murray.
Seattle will resume training camp on Thursday at 10 AM PST.
