The Seattle Seahawks roster cut news continues to trickle in, and there’s a minor surprise that’s just been reported.
Tom Pelissero tweeted that CB Jamar Taylor has been released, which is interesting given the state of Seattle’s nickel corner position. Unless there’s a trade in the works, it looks like rookie Ugo Amadi has an inside track to a starting job. It may also be a sign that Akeem King gets to stay despite his struggles this preseason.
Another surprise in Seattle: The #Seahawks are releasing veteran CB Jamar Taylor, source said. He'd been the frontrunner for the nickel job for much of camp. Now a free agent.

Another minor surprise is DE Cassius Marsh, who presumably is one of the odd men out as a result of Seattle’s trade for Jadeveon Clowney. Marsh was with the Seahawks from 2014-2016 before he was traded in 2017. He was brought back to the team earlier this offseason after a stint with the San Francisco 49ers.
Source: The #Seahawks have released DE Cassius Marsh.

Others who have been waived include WR Jazz Ferguson, DT Earl Mitchell, OLs Brian Wallace and Elijah Nkansah, and LBs Juwon Young and Jawuan Johnson.
I'm told the Seahawks have also waived LB Juwon Young. So the players they are known to have waived today:
