As I wrote last week, 2-0 would carry significant implications for the Seattle Seahawks. By beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, that did make the Seahawks 2-0 for the first time since 2013 and only the second time since 2006. Nearly 73% of 2-0 teams since 1990 have made the playoffs. It is also the best two-game start of Russell Wilson’s career.
Twitter reacted to the positive result.
All the doom and gloom last weekend and through the week by #Seahawks fans, and they're now 2-0 which is all that matters, & still aren't even scratching the surface of their true potential once all their pieces are ready to go full bore. Let's fire Pete & bury Schotty though.— Gruntruck (@Raoulseyepatch) September 15, 2019
The Seattle Seahawks are 2-0. They've looked sloppy in parts and yet managed to win both one-score games. That's huge as they look to erradicate the "beating themselves" moments.— Matty F. Brown (@mattyfbrown) September 15, 2019
We can talk about the score, but the Seahawks went on the road, across the country, in the morning, against a team most people thought was good, and pretty well dominated them if not for those 2 fumbles.— Field Gulls (@FieldGulls) September 15, 2019
What a big win for the Seahawks. That's Pete Carroll's 100th win (reg season and postseason) on his 68th birthday. Seattle is 2-0.— Dugar, Michael-Shawn (@MikeDugar) September 15, 2019
Last time the Seahawks started a season 2-0...

The Seahawks host the New Orleans Saints next week, a team that is going for 2-0 against the LA Rams at the time of this writing. The Saints are playing without quarterback Drew Brees at the moment, meaning that Teddy Bridgewater could be the quarterback starting next week if Brees is unable to go from an injured throwing hand.
Seattle started 4-0 in 2013.
