The Seattle Seahawks (1-0) are on the road for the first time in this young 2019 NFL season, as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) at Heinz Field. This is Seattle’s third trip to Heinz Field, and they’re still looking not just for their first win at the stadium, but their first point.
Last week, Seattle narrowly escaped a serious upset bid by the Cincinnati Bengals, winning 21-20 at CenturyLink Field. While fans may have been upset with a lackluster showing, Steelers fans were irate after a 33-3 thumping at the hands of the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. The last time these teams met, Russell Wilson outdueled Ben Roethlisberger in a 39-30 classic, with Doug Baldwin catching three of Wilson’s five touchdown passes, while Roethlisberger exceeded 400 yards on the day.
Both rosters have changed significantly since 2015, but the quarterbacks remain the same, and it’s an important early season matchup between two teams projected to make the playoffs.
