While the Pro Bowl was cancelled this season in what was perhaps the most difficult gut punch of 2020, the NFL is still taking votes and will be announcing rosters for the NFC and AFC.
On Wednesday, the league provided an update on Pro Bowl voting by fans, with the deadline less than a month away. Among the leading vote getters are Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, as well as special teamer Nick Bellore.
Wilson is second in the NFL in total votes, with 139,839, which trails just Patrick Mahomes and his 143,355 votes. Bellore is leading all special teamers in votes, with 43,906.
In the midst of a lights out 2020 season, Wilson appears to be well on his way to a seventh Pro Bowl selection and fourth consecutive. Bellore has yet to be named to the Pro Bowl, however he was named to the Pro Football Focus All-Pro team in 2014 as a special teamer.
Seattle hasn’t had a special teamer elected to the Pro Bowl since Alex Bannister in 2004. Bellore, a linebacker-turned-fullback, is currently second in the NFL in special teams tackles.
Pro Bowl voting will run until December 17th.
