The Seattle Seahawks will be without right tackle Brandon Shell for Monday’s big game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Shell suffered a sprained ankle last week against the Arizona Cardinals and it was always unlikely that he would be back this soon. Cedric Ogbuehi, whose reputation from his days in Cincinnati is not exactly glowing, will get the start in his absence. Considering the Eagles won’t have Lane Johnson for the rest of the season, it could always be worse.
But even though Shell is out, Ethan Pocic is off the injury report after missing two games with a concussion. He’ll return to his starting duties at center, which will shift Damien Lewis back to his natural right guard position.
On the running back front, Chris Carson returns from his foot sprain but Travis Homer is out once again. It’ll be Carson/Hyde/Dallas as the presumptive three-man group.
Lastly, Shaquill Griffin is back after missing a month’s worth of games due to a mixture of a hamstring strain and a concussion. He’ll be the CB1 and we’ll see if Tre Flowers remains as CB2. It should be the case considering DJ Reed is not a lock to play with his own injury.
The only other injury of concern is WR David Moore, who’s battling a hip injury and is listed as questionable. Freddie Swain is “fine” according to Pete Carroll, so if Moore can’t go then Swain presumably gets bumped up to WR3 and Penny Hart as WR4. John Ursua, Cody Thompson, and Aaron Fuller are practice squad options.
