Jamal Adams is back. The superstar safety will make his long anticipated return for the Seahawks in Week 9 against the Bills, as he was not given an injury designation on the team’s final injury report ahead of the trip to Buffalo.

While Adams will return, it isn’t all good news for the banged up Seahawks secondary. Both Shaquill Griffin and Ugo Amadi have been declared out ahead of Sunday, meaning the pair will miss their second straight game. They’re two of six starters who will miss at least their second game in a row, with Benson Mayowa, Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde, and Mike Iupati also ruled out.

Though six players have been declared out, nobody else even carries a questionable tag, meaning players who missed time during the week, such as David Moore, Travis Homer, and D.J. Reed, are good to go.

With both Carson and Hyde out, the expectation is Alex Collins, newly signed to Seattle’s practice squad, will be elevated to the game day roster. He could be joined by Damon Harrison, who is yet to make his Seahawks debut.

Seattle remains banged up across the roster but on Sunday, they can count on Adams to help give the defense a boost.
