Jamal Adams finally healthy, active for Seahawks against Bills

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Sunday the Seattle Seahawks take on the Buffalo Bills in an early game that could determine whether they will hold on to not just the top spot in the NFC, but in the NFC West division once the dust settles elsewhere in Week 9. When they do, they will finally have All Pro strong safety Jamal Adams back on the field after a groin injury derailed his first season with the team after being acquired in trade from the New York Jets this summer.

However, while Adams is finally healthy and able to return to the field for the Hawks, several members of the team will miss the tilt against Buffalo due to injury. Those include Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde, Mike Iupati, Benson Mayowa, Shaquill Griffin and Ugo Amadi. The injuries at the running back spot and in the secondary explain why the team elevated Alex Collins and Jayson Stanley from the practice squad for the game, and the six injured players make up six of the team’s seven inactives.

The full list of inactives is:

  • RB Chris Carson
  • RB Carlos Hyde
  • LG Mike Iupati
  • DE Benson Mayowa
  • TE Colby Parkinson
  • CB Shaquill Griffin
  • CB Ugo Amadi
