The possibility seemed to come closer early in the week, with Pete Carroll again expressing optimism around tight end Greg Olsen’s recovery from a foot injury. Now, that possibility has become reality, with the Seahawks announcing Wednesday that Olsen has been designated to return to practice.

By designating Olsen to return to practice, Seattle now has a three week window to activate the tight end back to the 53-man roster. Every indication is that Olsen will return in the short-term, however, with Carroll not ruling him out for Week 15.
Pete Carroll said Olsen has "made an extraordinary recovery." Hasn't ruled out the possibility of hi playing this week.

Olsen suffered a non-contact fascia tear in Week 11, a win over the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football. While the initial feeling around the injury was bleak, it quickly became apparent Olsen would push to return.
In 10 games for the Seahawks in 2020, Olsen has totaled 23 catches for 224 yards and a touchdown. Now, it appears as though he will have a chance to add to those totals.
