The Seattle Seahawks (9-4) are back on the road for a big matchup against the NFC East leading Washington Football Team (6-7). Much like when Seattle faced the New York Giants two weeks ago, WFT is on a four-game winning streak but injury means they’ll be starting a backup quarterback. Hopefully unlike two weeks ago, the Seahawks will come away with the W.
As noted already, it’ll be Dwayne Haskins starting over the injured Alex Smith. He’s not good. But you know what is good? That Washington defense. Ron Rivera and Jack Del Rio have made the most out of that monstrous defensive line that features nothing but first-round picks, including rookie Chase Young. It’ll take some doing for the Seahawks offensive line to hold up and protect Russell Wilson all game. Seattle is coming off a blowout win over the New York Jets and regardless of what happens today, they will be in first place in the NFC West if they beat the Los Angeles Rams in next week’s rematch. To have a shot at the #1 seed however, they need to win out and get help from other teams.
This is going to be a tough, competitive matchup on a cow patch of a field.
