It took longer than initially expected but Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Josh Gordon has finally been reinstated from suspension by the NFL. While Gordon can begin COVID testing on Friday and re-join the team next Wednesday, he will not be eligible to practice or play until Week 16.

Gordon’s fifth suspension, handed down in December of last year, was for violations of both the performance-enhancing and substances of abuse policies. Having also tested positive for a masking agent, Gordon will have ended up serving an 18-game suspension, including last season’s postseason.
Soon to be reinstated and already re-signed by the Seahawks, Gordon will boost a wide receiver corps led by two dynamic talents in Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. After averaging just under 20 yards per catch during his brief stint in Seattle last year, the expectation should be for Gordon to slide into the wide receiver room and add even more talent to an already skilled group.
Flash Gordon, set to return in Week 16.
