On Tuesday, the Seahawks officially granted Damon Harrison’s request, placing the veteran defensive tackle on waivers. And on Wednesday, we found out his next stop, with the Packers claiming Snacks off waivers.
According to the transaction wire, former #Seahawks DL Damon “Snacks” Harrison was claimed by the #Packers.

Green Bay’s addition of Harrison comes just over a month after they attempted to poach him off Seattle’s practice squad, before he was added to the Seahawks’ active roster. While Harrison had made it clear he intended to continue playing despite requesting his release, he did not sound thrilled about the idea of having his next team chosen for him.
That’s the plan. If I can work out the logistics of it. Not doing the waiver thing though...nah https://t.co/4ve19ZAmuw

Actually it’s not today but I won’t be claimed either way. Made that clear.

After the Packers’ claim of Snacks was made official, however, he made it known Green Bay was a place he was happy to land.

Harrison has been extremely deliberate with his decisions this season, taking time to decide whether or not he wanted to play, then turning down four different teams to remain with the Seahawks, before requesting to part ways when he fell out of the rotation.
Now, it appears as though the Packers’ claim is another example of that, with Harrison happy to end up with another playoff-bound team.
