Things just got interesting.
The Los Angeles Rams, who initiated one of the more unfortunate market fluctuations on top-tier running backs, cut the player in question early Thursday.
Todd Gurley is now on the free market and apparently interested in playing for the Seattle Seahawks.
.@RapSheet just named the #Seahawks as a potential suitor for Todd Gurley.

"It sounds like he wants a chance to prove he's still got it."
He's already making $7 million this year. Sounds like a chance to play the Rams twice a year could be intriguing for TGIII.
Players are often motivated by slight, as anyone who has ever heard of Richard Sherman or Doug Baldwin knows. Gurley skyrocketed from grace in L.A. and would have the opportunity to prove his former team wrong if he remained with an NFC West contender. Which of course as of this week is all four teams.
Here’s where things get really interesting.
Gurley was cut mere hours before an additional $10 million was guaranteed to him, but he is still going to make $7,550,000 from the Rams. The organization was four days too late to avoid that hit.
So, it’s absolutely worth noting that Todd Gurley could sign a league-minimum deal anywhere, and would make over $8 million this season. Chances are, he’d be able to command a little bit higher than that, but it is in no way out of the question. At the very least, he doesn’t need to be on the hunt for something resembling the $15 million per year average that L.A. was dumb enough to think was a good idea. He wouldn’t get it anyway.
Gurley ran for 130 yards and three TDs against the Seahawks last year.
It would make Seattle’s running back room the most boom-or-bust squad in the league in terms of injuries, but it sure would have a pretty ridiculous ceiling.
What number would make you feel comfortable adding Gurley to the Hawks?
