Fans of the Seattle Seahawks have been on the edge of their seats since the start of free agency last week awaiting news regarding the future of the multiple free agents who play on the defensive line. In that time the team has tendered Branden Jackson and resigned Jarran Reed while waiting for a conclusion to the Jadeveon Clowney situation. In the meantime, the team saw Quinton Jefferson sign with the Buffalo Bills relatively quickly, and as free agency entered its second week, word of the loss of a second defensive lineman reached social media.

Al Woods was signed by Seattle in May of last year, but this time around he did not take very long at all to find a new home. According to his agency, Woods is off to Florida to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team dealing with its own changes on the defensive line. A group that included Marcell Dareus, Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue could realistically open the season with none of those three on the roster.
Many Seahawks fans had hoped that Woods would return to the team in 2020 following a solid performance until a PED suspension in December forced him to miss the end of the season. In any case, best of luck to Woods in Jacksonville, where he’ll likely have big shoes to fill in the middle of the defensive line.
