All four of the Seattle Seahawks’ tendered restricted free agents are now under contract for the 2020 season, after defensive end Branden Jackson signed on Tuesday. Jackson announced the news of his signing on Instagram.
The Seahawks extended an original-round tender to Jackson, meaning his one-year deal for 2020 will pay him $2.133 million—the same as wide receiver David Moore and center Joey Hunt. Jacob Hollister, tendered at a second-round level, will receive $3.259 million.
Jackson, entering his fifth season in the NFL, started a career-high three games in 2019, with his only other start coming in 2018. Playing in 15 games last season, Jackson posted career-highs in sacks with two, as well as QB hits, with three.
If Jackson makes the 53-man roster, 2020 will be the 27-year-old’s fourth season in Seattle after originally signing with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech in 2016.
