Report: Seahawks waived Kemah Siverand after he tried sneaking a woman into team hotel

Undrafted cornerback Kemah Siverand was always going to be a longshot to make the Seattle Seahawks roster. That he was waived earlier this week was really only news at the time because it meant Seattle had another open roster spot.

Then Thursday came along and boy do we have a story to tell.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Siverand violated team protocol by trying to get a woman into the team hotel.

During this COVID-19 pandemic, it’s pretty obvious that only essential personnel should be allowed in the team hotel or at headquarters. Whomever Siverand tried to get into his hotel room did not meet the criteria for inclusion.

Siverand obviously knew this was a no-no, so that’s when the light bulb flashed above his head. To get around those rules, he hatched a genius plan that would surely be a fooler.

So to put this into football terms, Siverand tried to disguise the coverage and pull off a sneak attempt at the same time. This ultimately backfired and now he’s out of a job. No, we don’t have video of this and frankly that’s better for our imagination.

I have nothing more to add, but that’s only because I saved that for social media.
