The Seattle Seahawks opened up another roster spot on Saturday, having waived Troy defensive lineman Marcus Webb off the Non-Football Injury list.
The Seahawks waived UDFA defensive end Marcus Webb off their Non-Football Injury list, per the league's transaction wire. He was counting against their 80-man roster, so they're now at 78 players.

Like you, I initially thought the Seahawks somehow had J’Marcus Webb on the roster again, and I broke out in a cold sweat even though it’s 100 degrees in Portland right now. Thankfully it wasn’t him and it’s not even the same position.
This Webb was considered a potential sleeper pick to make the roster as a five-tech, but it looks like he won’t be a part of Seattle’s plans for this season. We have seen them bring back Patrick Carr and Seth Dawkins this week but neither one of them was waived/injured.
Seattle now has two roster spots available. Will that mean Jadeveon Clowney and a reinstated Josh Gordon? It’s fun to dream but I wouldn’t get my hopes up that much. But with some room on that 80-man roster, expect the Seahawks to make even a semi-notable addition to the squad soon.
