Week 1 is in the books, and the various rankings of power have begun to be distributed.
Though CBS sports has the Seattle Seahawks down at 7th, citing some uninspired cooking jargon, they’ve come out as an early NFC #2 seed in many others.
Sportsnet has the Seahawks as the fourth best team in the NFL after defeating the Atlanta Falcons.

I see “three receivers” but I remember one WR, one RB, and one TE. It’s encouraging to find something normal again in these trying times, and to know that people are still not actually watching the Seattle football games.
ESPN also has the Seahawks 4th, according the their FPI power index.

That rating system seems especially wonky, as teams five and six are the defeated San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Neither of them inspired particular confidence that they would handle the Pittsburgh Steelers or Green Bay Packers with ease.
But it’s ESPN, so we take what we can get while they’ve not forgotten Seattle has an NFL team.
NBC Sports has the Seahawks again at fourth, again one spot ahead of the Niners, in what looks like it will be a fun conversation all year.
Just for fun, Stephen A. Smith came out with his own ranking this week, listed the Seahawks at fourth, but ahead of the New Orleans Saints and his rationale was unorthodox.
Not even making this up Stephen A Smith put Seahawks as 4th best team in the NFL and didn't even name a defensive player. what a world

Seattle will try to capitalize on the early momentum to beat an unfamiliar but good New England Patriots team next Sunday.
