The mantra all offseason and into this regular season has been “Let Russ Cook.” Through two weeks of the 2020 NFL campaign, the Seattle Seahawks have done exactly that with Russell Wilson and to great results.
Wilson has completed 52 of 63 passes for 610 yards and 9 touchdown passes with just the single (rather fluky) interception. What if I told you that the Seahawks had the second-most pass-heavy offense when adjusted for neutral game script?

Russ has cooked, grilled, pan seared, flambeed, and roasted the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots defenses. There’s already very early talk about Wilson being the frontrunner for league MVP, an award that he’s never even received a vote for let alone actually won. I know DK Metcalf is already beginning the push for Russ MVP 2020.

By the way, you know what’s in that “3” pattern? Those are little chef hats — an obvious homage to Wilson cooking up a fresh batch of touchdowns for everyone on the Seahawks offense to share.
