Jayson Stanley, who went from cornerback to wide receiver back to cornerback during camp, has reportedly been waived.
#Seahawks are waiving CB/WR Jayson Stanley, per source. I put CB and WR because Stanley actually did play both in camp. Caught a back-shoulder TD from Danny Etling in one of the mock games too. Pretty sure he’s a practice squad candidate.— Dugar, Michael-Shawn (@MikeDugar) September 5, 2020
This report courtesy of Rob Rang means in addition to Anthony Gordon, Aaron Fuller, and Tyler Mabry, the following players have been waived: Tommy Champion, Cedrick Lattimore, Debione Renfro, Gavin Heslop, and Chris Miller.
The #Seahawks success with late round picks and undrafted free agents is well documented, but none of the UDFAs from the 2020 training camp made today’s initial roster, according to source.— Rob Rang (@RobRang) September 5, 2020
The Seahawks reportedly released Paul Richardson, just a few days after bringing him back to Seattle.

Former Husky WR Aaron Fuller has been waived, per Michael-Shawn Dugar.
#Seahawks plan to waive undrafted WR Aaron Fuller, per source. Fuller played at nearby Washington and if he clears waivers, I would expect him to be back via the practice squad.— Dugar, Michael-Shawn (@MikeDugar) September 5, 2020
QB Anthony Gordon has been waived but like Danny Etling, could end up on the practice squad.

The Seahawks have reportedly cut undrafted free agent tight end Tyler Mabry.
#Seahawks are waiving undrafted rookie TE Tyler Mabry, with the thought he could be brought back on practice squad, per source. Seattle’s kinda stacked at TE right now but Mabry could be a long-term project. Plus, couple rookie TEs injured right now.— Dugar, Michael-Shawn (@MikeDugar) September 5, 2020
The first surprise cut of the weekend, as Shaquem Griffin has reportedly been waived.
The Seahawks are waiving DE/LB Shaquem Griffin, per source. A 2018 fifth-round pick, Shaquem seemed to have found a home as a pass-rusher/strongside LB, but now he’ll be available on waivers.— Dugar, Michael-Shawn (@MikeDugar) September 5, 2020
An aside: His twin bro Shaquill is in a contract year.
QB Danny Etling, who Seattle claimed off waivers during training camp, has reportedly been waived but could return to the team’s practice squad.

Reports have Seattle waiving safety Ryan Neal

The Seahawks have waived seventh-round pick Stephen Sullivan, with the hope of signing him to the practice squad on Sunday.

OT Chad Wheeler, who played for offensive line coach Mike Solari in New York, is reported to have been released. He spent much of the 2019 season on the Seattle practice squad and there’s no reason to think the team won’t try to add him to the practice squad this year.
