Enemy Reaction: The best of the 2019 Seahawks season

NFL: Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Unbelievably, a new NFL season is almost here. Whether this season will actually be completed as normal in the midst of a pandemic remains to be seen, but this weekend has NFL football.

The Seattle Seahawks made it to the divisional round last season, but they are clearly in “win now” mode this year, so I think we’re all hoping for a deep playoff run for the first time since 2014. It’s been a bit overdue.

For those of you new to the site, Enemy Reaction is centered around gamethread reactions from both Field Gulls and the opposition’s SB Nation blog. As usual, I take the best videos and GIF(s) from each Seahawks win, and then one from the season-ending loss. I hope that when I do this in 2021, I’m doing one for the season-ending win in the Super Bowl.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Unfortunately, the Coral comments system means that old comments are not accessible at the moment, so the last game against the Green Bay Packers features no actual reaction. I’ve created a rough approximation of how Seahawks fans felt in the moment.

#1 (vs. Bengals) - Let Russ Cook!

#2 (at Steelers) - DK Metcalf’s first touchdown

#3 (at Cardinals) - Clowney clowns Cardinals

#4 (vs. Rams) - Winning one for Paul Allen

#5 (at Browns) - Winning the Wright way

#6 (at Falcons) - Don’t cover DK!

#7 (vs. Buccaneers) - Overtime magic, part one!

#8 (at 49ers) - Overtime heroics, part two!

#9 (at Eagles) - Money, Penny

#10 (vs. Vikings) - David couldn’t have been any Moore open

#11 (at Panthers) - DK dominates Donte

W (Wild Card at Eagles) - Deuces

L (Divisional round at Packers) - Can’t (get a) stop, won’t (get a) stop

Video of the Year: Jimmy G got exposed (The A-Bomb)

Always remember that the more the Seahawks win, the more you’ll see Enemy Reaction you’ll see! I don’t know how this will look in the Coral era, but I can assure you that Enemy Reaction is happening one way or another.

Thanks for reading and Go ‘Hawks!
