Seahawks assistant Brennan Carroll leaving for University of Arizona

A Carroll is leaving the Seattle Seahawks for the college ranks, but it ain’t Pete.

Pete’s son Brennan, who’s the team’s current running game coordinator, was offered a spot on the University of Arizona’s coaching staff as the program’s offensive coordinator/offensive line coach. On Friday, the move was made official.

Brennan was brought on by his dad in 2015 as an assistant offensive line coach, a position he held through the 2019 season before his job switch to run game coordinator. The University of Hawaii had interest in hiring Brennan as a head coach but opted for Todd Graham instead.

It’ll be Brennan’s first college job since he was Miami’s receivers coach in 2014. According to Pete, Brennan will remain on the staff through the end of the Seahawks’ season, which we all hope is after a Super Bowl win on February 7th.

Arizona’s head coach, by the way, is former Seahawks quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch, who’s replacing the fired Kevin Sumlin.
