Seahawks to face 49ers without Greg Olsen and Carlos Hyde

Sunday the Seattle Seahawks will close out their 2020 regular season when they take on the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Glendale Arizona. The game, of course, had to be moved from Levi’s Stadium after Santa Clara County banned contact sports temporarily due to the pandemic, so both teams are on the road for this one.

That said, the Seahawks will face the 49ers without a pair of their bigger name offensive free agent acquisitions from this past offseason.

The Hawks spent a not insignificant amount of money to add Carlos Hyde and Greg Olsen as weapons for Russell Wilson during the spring, and both are set to be free agents at the conclusion of the playoffs. For Olsen, the postseason this year will likely represent his final shot at a Super Bowl title, with a career in broadcasting following the 2020 season. Meanwhile, Hyde, finishes his lone season with the Hawks with 356 yards rushing and four touchdowns. That may not seem like a lot, but it’s more than he recorded during his rookie season with the 49ers in 2014, when he ran behind a Mike Solari coached line to the tune of 333 yards and four touchdowns.

In any case, the full inactives list for the final regular season game of 2020 for Seattle is:

  • DeeJay Dallas
  • Carlos Hyde
  • Mike Iupati
  • Greg Olsen
  • Jonathan Bullard
  • Jayson Stanley
