Hey, SB Nation Reacts is back!

No we do not have a confidence poll up just yet, that will be coming back soon. At this very moment I probably wouldn’t want to look at a week-to-week graph of our confidence in the direction of the Seattle Seahawks.

We had a personalized question this week that centered around the defense. Who’s the biggest problem concerning this much-maligned unit, the players or the coaching staff? The most accurate answer is clearly a combination of both. We know the players aren’t as good as the Legion of Boom days and frankly neither is the coaching. But it’s more fun to make you choose one or the other and you overwhelmingly went with the coaching staff. I have a feeling that even with a “both” option the coaching staff still would’ve easily won.

Note that the response did say coaching staff and not defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr specifically. So that ambiguous answer can include your belief that the scheme that Pete Carroll runs is not suitable for today’s NFL, or that Norton Jr’s application of the defensive scheme is really bad.

A national question saw only 6% of respondents vote for the Seahawks as the “best” of the 1-2 teams in the NFL, with the Kansas City Chiefs getting a whopping 83% of the vote. The Carolina Panthers edged out the Las Vegas Raiders for the biggest early season surprise.

And lastly, while this has nothing to do with Seahawks football (although Seattle plays this team in a few weeks), 71% of voters believe that Ben Roethlisberger looking washed is the biggest concern for the struggling Pittsburgh Steelers offense.

Heh heh heh.

Check back next week as you can expect more special Seahawks specific questions throughout the season on SB Nation Reacts!
