The Seahawks’ brutal loss against the Steelers was dwarfed in importance by the potentially devastating injury Darrell Taylor suffered towards the end of regulation. Before we dig in to the rest of the comments from the post-game pressers, let’s again check in on what Carroll had to say about his status.
Update: Darrell Taylor is moving. CT scans are "clear," coach Pete Carroll says.

Taylor is flying back with the #Seahawks to Seattle tonight. Big relief for everyone here in Pittsburgh. https://t.co/TcnmbFJnHM
Carroll also had injury updates on Alex Collins and Damien Lewis, both of whom were kept out of the game late.
Carroll said Damien Lewis' shoulder injury was an AC sprain.

Carroll was crushed, yet optimistic as ever after the loss. Here are his opening comments, which lasted about 90 seconds.

A lot of the post-game press conferences focused on the performance of Geno Smith. The Seahawks backup-turned-starter was hard on himself after the game, despite the praise heaped on him by teammates and coaches.
Geno Smith put the loss on his shoulders. “I can’t keep coming up short,” he said, referring to how Seattle’s last two games have ended with him turning the ball over (though the INT last week wasn’t all his fault). “... That’s solely on me and I vow to be better.” pic.twitter.com/esVFyaPFZc

One other player who turned heads in his first-ever Seahawks start Sunday night was Tre Brown.
Bobby Wagner was like most watching in thinking rookie Tre Brown was impressive in his NFL debut tonight at left CB, particularly the third-down tackle on Steelers’ WR screen in OT

And now, perspectives on what the team can do to salvage the season moving forward.
DK Metcalf, short as a 6-4 wide receiver can be: “We’ve lost four games.”

What’s it going to take to turn this season around?

Pete Carroll was asked how he thinks his players will respond to being in such an unfamiliar position — at 2-4 and without Russell Wilson. “Look at what just happened,” he said, referring to how they rallied from down 14-0. Said earlier, “God dang I’m proud of these guys.”
