After Sunday’s impressive performance, not only from the Seattle Seahawks in general but specifically from DK Metcalf, the young star receiver has joined great company in terms of players who have 25 touchdowns in their first 40 games.
.@Seahawks WR @dkm14 has 25 career TD receptions and joined Randy Moss (36) and Odell Beckham Jr. (34) as the only wide receivers since 1990 with at least 25 touchdown receptions in their first 40 career games. #GoHawks

Admittedly, the stat is a bit of a reach from the Seahawks official PR account as the other players with 25 TD’s in 40 games, Randy Moss and Odell Beckham Jr., are both far ahead of Metcalf at 36 and 34 respectively. But still, it is a testament to Metcalf’s incredible early career run of being a deep threat and a red zone threat.
Metcalf caught all of his targets for a stat line of 6 catches for 43 yards and 2 touchdowns. Both of his touchdown catches Metcalf came against the former Seahawks cornerback Shaquill Griffin, and his 16-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter was his longest catch of the day. Metcalf leads the team this season with 8 TDs, which is only two off of matching his total from 2020.
