For the past two seasons, Mike Iupati has been a vital part of an improving Seattle Seahawks offensive line. While he was slated to hit the open market at age 33, Iupati has instead called it a career.

In an article done by The Spokesman-Review, Iupati said, “My body was telling me it was time to close the door.” Iupati had a great 11 year run with three teams that all happen to be in the NFC West.

After spending his first 5 seasons in San Francisco where he made 3 straight Pro-Bowl’s in his final three years with the 49ers, he signed with the Cardinals and spent 4 years in Arizona making 1 Pro-Bowl.

Then Iupati finished his career in Seattle spending the last two seasons as the Seahawks left guard, starting 25 games. As for his future, Iupati wants to spend time with his kids and also said that he would like to be around the high school team in his hometown of Star, Idaho.
