There is going to be a big quarterback carousel coming this offseason, so if you’re an NFL team in need of a QB why not ask around?
Well according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, some teams have asked the Seattle Seahawks if Russell Wilson is available for trade. I think you know the answer but here’s what was written up.
Will the Seahawks trade Russell Wilson? A couple of teams have called Seattle to inquire about Wilson’s availability, but there’s no chance the Seahawks are dealing their star QB.
Wilson has a no-trade clause in his contract so even if the Seahawks wanted to trade him there has to be a deal so enticing that would make him waive that clause, or he’d have to have some massive falling out with Pete Carroll and the front office that would make him want out.
I’d certainly love to know which teams called up John Schneider and asked if Wilson was available. At least they tried. We dealt with this speculation in 2019 and it’s back again. I mean it won’t stop us from speculating about Wilson’s future but we are fans with a lot of time on our hands.
