Free agency has yet to officially start, and yet the Jacksonville Jaguars have already reportedly agreed to terms with multiple members of the Seattle Seahawks 2020 roster. Monday the Jags agreed to terms with wide receiver Phillip Dorsett and running back Carlos Hyde, and on Tuesday reports emerged that Jacksonville would also be adding Shaquill Griffin. These additions all come after the hiring of Brian Schottenheimer and Darrell Bevell to the offensive coaching staff, and following a new report, it won’t be a surprise if yet another member of the 2020 Seahawks finds his way to Duval.
The Seahawks and CB Shaquill Griffin were far apart on money before the negotiating window opened. I'm told Seattle made a strong push at the end and got very close. I'm also told they aren't tendering Shaquill's twin brother Shaquem Griffin as an RFA, so he'll be unrestricted.

Shaquem Griffin not being tendered as a restricted free agent should not come as a surprise to many Seahawks fans. After serving as a key member of the Seattle special teams during each of the first two seasons of his career, Shaquem was waived at the end of training camp this past season and spent the first few weeks on the practice squad. He was eventually promoted to the active roster, however, he never regained the role he had held on special teams in prior seasons and was unable to make enough of an impact when given a shot as an EDGE rusher to prevent the team from trading for Carlos Dunlap.
Now, with the new NFL League Year set to begin Wednesday at 4:00 PM New York Time, it appears as though both of the Griffin twins are likely to both be calling Florida home once again.
