The 2020 season of the Seattle Seahawks came to a quick and abrupt halt in a dismantling at the hands of the division rival Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs. However, with the arrival of a new league year, and The Hawks front office getting to work on the process of building out the roster for the 2021 campaign, it’s time that fans start looking ahead to what the fall will bring.
In addition to fans looking forward, it’s also the time of year when bettors can begin to start making bets for the season based on the fact that for the most part rosters of teams are largely assembled. Yes, there will be additions in the remaining weeks of free agency and in the draft, however, the majority of impact players at impact positions have been added, and so now sportsbooks can begin to set odds on what will play out during the season. For the Seahawks, there’s at least one sportsbook that isn’t high on what the team has done so far this offseason.
#Seahawks are currently roughly a 50/50 chance to make the playoffs per @DKSportsbook, with only a 22.6% chance of repeating as NFC West champion

It is, of course, entirely possible that the Seahawks miss the postseason, but it would seem that this sportsbook may have overestimated the impact of the additions to other NFC West teams. At the end of the day, the Hawks still have Russell Wilson at quarterback, which is a better spot to be in than their division rivals. Obviously, things could change, but given that the Seahawks have made the playoffs in eight of Wilson’s nine seasons with the team, that seems like a bet that might bring in some easy profits.
