The Seattle Seahawks announced their coaching staff for the 2021 season. It includes three recent additions and one subtraction. The most notable addition is former Seahawks defensive back DeShawn Shead who will be brought on as a defensive assistant.
Former Seahawks quarterbacks coach Carl Smith is coming back as the associate head coach, and his son Tracy Smith will be Seattle’s assistant special teams coach. Larry Izzo has been permanently promoted into the special teams coordinator role, with Brian Schneider having taken a leave of absence in 2020 and is now a part of the Jaguars coaching staff as Urban Meyer’s ST coordinator.
