The NFL regular season schedule was unveiled last week, but the preseason kickoff times and dates for most teams were not. We’ll be piecing this together as the information becomes available, but we do know when the 2021 Seattle Seahawks season begins.
On Friday the Las Vegas Raiders announced that they will be hosting Seattle on Saturday, August 14th at a kickoff time of 6 PM PT. Assuming that were are no serious setbacks in this pandemic, Nevada will have fully re-opened by then and the Seahawks will technically be the first NFL game at Allegiant Stadium with fans in attendance. Las Vegas’ first regular season game with a full house will be on Monday Night Football in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Seattle’s remaining preseason schedule consists of home games against the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers, followed by a two-week break before their regular season opener at the Indianapolis Colts. Kickoff times for those two home exhibitions should be announced shortly. None of the Seahawks’ preseason games has been picked up for national broadcast by CBS, ESPN, NBC, or FOX, so NFL Network or your local Seahawks affiliate in the Pacific Northwest will be your route for watching Seattle’s first preseason action since 2019.
Update: Seahawks vs. Chargers on August 28th at 7 PM PT.
Chargers have announced they will close preseason against Seattle at Lumen Field on Saturday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m. Seahawks then open regular season at Indianapolis on Sept. 12.
